As a contractor, I go for tiles priced between AED 30/- and AED 55/- per square meter for 60 cm * 60 cm tiles, and between AED 55/- and AED 75/- per square meter for 60 cm * 120 cm tiles.

The labor cost to fix ceramic tiles and porcelain tiles depends on various factors, such as:–
- The area where the tiles will get fixed: If it is on bedroom floors or living room, the rate starts from AED 50 per square meter, where the contractors provide the Tile Glue and Grout, considering the floor is ready for new tiles. If there are existing tiles and you want to install tile on tiles, still the price will be in that range.
If it is the bathroom and kitchen, then the price jumps to AED 75 per square meter onward due to the time taken installing the tiles in a small area. Removing existing tiles and plastering the surface for new tiles can go up to AED 50 per square meter, apart from tiles installation.
- The Tile Size you choose:– If the tile sizes are smaller than 20 cm and greater than 60 cm, then the price is different than the above given tentative rates. For large format tiles, such as 90 x 120 cm, 120 x 240 cm, and beyond, we charge AED 90 per square meter and above.

Cost for Tile Repairs & Maintenance
Was getting inquiries for Tile repairs and maintenance and they were referring to the tiles installation cost above for repairs as well.
Please understand, installing new tiles is different than doing tile maintenance. Regarding tile maintenance, it is always higher because of mobilization costs.
For example, you have around 4 broken tiles that you want to replace, so we calculate on a lumpsum basis.
- Mobilization and Transport – AED 300/-
- Cost of Tiles approx – AED 100
- Labor and Consumables: AED 250/-
So the total becomes approx AED 650/ to replace those 4 tiles
Now if the quantity is more than 4 and it is a day job, then only tile cost will vary. So if it is 8 tiles, it will be AED 750/-
